Surfside Beach is a good alternative to the more crowded beaches in Galveston and Surfside Jetty Park is a nice place to add to your list of things to do. The parking is free and there is direct access to the beach. Add to that the prospects for fishing and a play area for the kids and you have a park deserving of a visit. Visited April 2015.
